A SUCCESSFUL ITALIAN EASTER MARKET!!!!!

The entrance sign (and one of Rita's birdhouses)
Cordelia Mendoza, me, Kim Kelly and Rita Reade before all the excitement began.  We were too exhausted after to take another picture.

As with each sale like this we have had, there are always several people who show up, oh, at about 8:45a, while we are still furiously pricing and doing last minute things.  Oh well, at least people are excited to come and see what we are offering.  I have to say that we had not-so-great weather today in Coronado.  It was quite cool and we even had a few rain sprinkles, which, luckily, didn't amount to anything.  It didn't stop the people from coming, though.  We had a steady stream of people for the entire time.  All in all, a very successful and fun time was had by everyone.

MORE FOR THE ITALIAN MARKET

A few more pictures of what I've been working on.
I decided to decoupage the drawer insides.  One down, two more to go.
A wrought iron stool.  For some reason it looks like a spider to me.  A happy, friendly spider, but a spider nonetheless.

AN ITALIAN EASTER MARKET -- CORONADO STYLE

Well, it looks like scanning the invitation and uploading it to my blog didn't work out as well as I had hoped.  In case you really can't read it, the important details are:  Kim Kelly and I are having another Italian Market at her house on Saturday,  11 April 2009 from 9a-1p.  For more information you can call either call Kim at 619.437.4800 or me at 619.435.4098.  We did this last year and it was a lot of fun.   Rita Reade will also be joining us.  Below are shots of some of the items I'll be selling.  I still have lots of work to do.

And I just realized (I am editing this on Saturday morning) that you can click on the invite above and enlarge it for easier reading.
These are some of things I am working on.
Lots of frames
A cute dresser
Primed and ready for it's new color
Half way through painting the frames
Caution Wet Paint

PRACTICALLY EVERY ROOM IN THE HOUSE

I delivered this chair and ottoman slipcover on Sunday to my client in La Jolla.  While I was looking around at all I have done over the years in her home, I asked her, "Is there a room in this house that I HAVEN'T done something in?"  We decided there was only one.  Every other room has my work in it.
This pillow is a photograph I took and then printed on fabric.
The valences are clipped on to the panels for easy removal.
Large, floppy pillow
I had to make two different fronts because I ran out of fabric.  Hey, it happens, but, luckily, the pattern was such that centering the scroll detail worked, too.
This chair has a lattice/cane back and needed to be 'warmed' up.

Over view of sofas with new throw pillows
This picture shows the pillows, the chair and the new valances.
This is the dining room.  The valance, window seat cushion and pillows and the chair backs are all in the same fabrics as the living room.  This room was done probably three years ago.
