WHIMSICAL SLIPCOVERS

Before I get to my post today, I want to tell you about a "Give Back" for the 100th post idea.  How great is that?  Laura at 52Flea is doing just that.  Not only is she giving back, she's letting you choose which category you'd like to be in for the drawing.  And as fate would have it, this post of mine today is #99 and I plan to so something similar with my next post.  In the meantime, go and check out Laura's give back give-a-way.

Now on to these whimsical, fairy covered slipcovers.  Because the fairy fabric was so expensive and there were two loveseats, requiring a total of 30 yards of fabric, another plan of action had to be established.  The designer I was working with on this job found a solid yellow duck cloth that was the exact color of the yellow in the fairy fabric.  It was decided that the skirts and just the fronts of the cushions would get the print and everything else would be the solid yellow.  The matelasse chairs would also have yellow welting to tie them to the loveseats.
The fairy fabric was 108" wide, so I was able to use the polka dot part as the boxing for the cushions.
