'BALL GOWN' DRAPERIES

I think I've said before that, in reality, I do NOT like window coverings.  I want light streaming in my windows all the time.  These draperies, though, make me want to, among other things, wear them.  They are silk, inter-lined and lined with another silk.  A pain to make, but incredibly beautiful.  I don't even like the color and I seriously want to wear them to the Oscar's.  They are that elegant.
They have inverted pleats at the top and a 36" (!!!) puddle.
In spite of the fact that they would look stupid in my house, that I am not a silk person and that I want bare windows, silk inter-lined draperies always make me want to rethink my style.

I'm with you on covering windows..Let there be LIGHT! In the right home, these would be pretty I guess, but not my style. Nice job and I cannot begin to guess how many yards of fabric you used!
