ANOTHER UNUSAL CHAIR TO SLIPCOVER

Not the type of chair that one would normally think about having a slipcover made for.
It just goes to show you that, truly, pretty much anything can be slipcovered.
This also shows you that two completely different fabrics can actually be used together. The welting, the inside of the pleats and the sash are all the blue and white toile. Perhaps a bit of a strange combination, but it really didn't look bad. Hey, I don't pick 'em, I just make what I'm given to make.

I love the main fabric selection - very beautiful - though I have to admit I'm not wild about the blue and white toile contrasting fabric.

I think I would have you make matching chair cushions to go with the slipcovers. LOL Or just have you make the same slipcovers for a basic IKEA upholstered seat dining chair LOL.

Your work, as always, is just terrific.

So glad to have stumbled upon your blog...I'm teaching myself ever.so.slowly how to make slipcovers for furniture in my own home. Mostly by making mistakes :)

Your pictures are inspiring me to try new things and new fabrics. I love me some vintagey, faded cottage florals.

I'm adding you to my subscriptions.

I just came across your blog, and it was just the thing I needed! I have been thinking of slip covering a old wing back chair, but it is one of those oh can I really do it? Anyway, I love how you slipcovered this chair. It would be a neat idead for my dining room chairs, that is, once I can talk myself into doing it!!

This is absolutely gorgeous! The fabric is fabulous! You can are the furniture makeover queen...I know this little chair is smiling from spindle to spindle now. I also loved the two seater in your previous post. Some things look great with pattern and others need to be toned down!
Great work!! xOxO Nerina
