BANDANA DUVET COVER

The truth is I have no idea how to make the One World One Heart post stay at the top of my blog. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Also, I apologize to the blogs I normally read on a daily basis for not getting to you lately. I am doing my best to visit all the blogs involved in the One World One Heart event and that is proving VERY time-consuming! Fun, but a real commitment to get to them all.

I made this duvet cover (8 years ago now) from bandanas. As bandanas are not a very substantial fabric, I knew I had to line each one. When I mentioned this to a friend at the time, she said something to the effect that if she were making it for herself, she wouldn't bother. I thought, wow, if I'm doing it for myself, then I'd do an even better job than if it was for someone else. I always do the very best I can when making things for others and why would I deserve anything less? So I lined them. The back side is a pink print. I'd take a picture of it right now except my exchange student is asleep under it and I am not going to wake him up just to get a picture. I always thought I'd make another using more 'boy' colors, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

WOW! That duvet cover is GORGEOUS! I am going to be looking at bandanas in a whole new light now....you are very creative, Tamerie. I must admit I always put more effort in on the work I do for others but, you're right, why should I deserve any less.

I'm not sure on how to keep an individual post at the top of the list....maybe post-date it and hide the date (if that's possible), or try clicking on post options of THE post and leave the date blank? If you try the latter, be sure to Copy and Paste the HTML coding into Notepad just in case Blogger loses the post on you. You could always put a picture link at the top above the posts which, when clicked, will open up that particular post.

I really like that bandana duvet cover! I agree that we should do our best for ourselves as well as for others. Sorry....can't help you with the blog stuff.

HI Tamerie
Love your Bandana duvet cover.... I've always liked the bandana look...

Well I'm not sure you can keep a particular post at the top but you could put a pic at the top of your sidebar linking to that post...

Thanks for popping by for my moon post... she was incredible last night.. xx Julie

How clever is that? I love it Tamerie!

The only thing I can think of is after you add a new post you'll need to go back in and edit your One World One Heart post and go to post options and change the date and time to be the most recent post.

Hugs to you sweet friend!
